Caravan of Arab and Ibero-American Women Films
About us
"Among Women filmmakers" is a Caravan of Arab and Ibero-American Women Films. This caravan is the result of two main reasons: to Break cultural boundaries between the Arab world and the Ibero-american one on one hand, and to allow hearing the voice independent cinema women filmmakers far from the conditions and values of commercial cinema on the other.
This project aims to create a network between women filmmakers from Arabic and the Ibero-american countries by translating their films into the Arabic and Spanish Languages, and to introduce them with each other in order to help them with the distribution of their films in a cultural context in the Arab, Ibero-american, and Latin American Countries.
"Among Women Filmmakers" is organized by the Egyptian production company Klaketa Arabe and the Cultural Foundation Asociación Cultural Cinerizadas (Spain), and it has the support of the Spanish Agency of Cooperation for the Development (AECID) and the Ministry of Culture of Spain and many other, embassies, cultural centers and institutions in different cities where the caravan goes.
